Posted by Denise

SAI Global performed our ISO 9001:2008 surveillance audit on February 11th. We are happy to report there were no findings. Some of our strengths identified are as follows:

  • Top Managements involvement
  • Preventive Actions
  • Training for full and part time associates
  • On-site visits of our Suppliers
  • Theme lunches provide a good work environment
  • Inventory control software program, minimizes human error

Our Quality Management System continues to evolve as we continuously look for ways to improve. Our Quality goals and objectives keep us on track and moving forward with Top Management’s support.

Preventive actions are actively pursued and encouraged by all employees. Some of the preventive actions we’ve implemented include color coding, work instructions on a laptop in assembly area, and the eliminating the possibility of duplicate orders.

Training is a big part of our success as a company. We require full-time employees to have 20 hours of training a year. Part time training hours are calculated per our formula for part time employees.

On-site visits of our Suppliers give us insight to their processes and controls. Our suppliers are key to our success and thought of as our partners. We value our relationship and work closely together to continuously improve.

Our Inventory Control software program helps us keep track of our inventory along with random monthly audits of a few chosen parts. This is followed up with our annual inventory of the entire warehouse. We continue to look for ways to manage our inventory efficiently and effectively.

We value our employees which is evident by the low turnover rate. Our employees are instrumental in the effectiveness of our Quality System. One of the ways we show our appreciation is by having monthly theme lunches. This month will be our St. Patrick’s Day luncheon of good food, laughter, and shenanigans!

Timco Rubber takes great pride in our Quality System and that is evident by our audit results. Hats off to everyone at Timco that made our latest audit a success!
